The Struggle is real
You’re struggling to start or finish your novel, nonfiction work, or memoir. You lack motivation when the going gets tough. But you know you’re capable, enthusiastic, and ready to learn and get the job done? Join us.
Community, Deadlines, and Accountability
This daytime Zoom yearlong is geared for people who’ve taken workshops before and have demonstrated dedication to their craft and projects. An open-genre class, we will focus on narrative writing in both fiction and nonfiction (memoirs, short stories, novels, personal essays).
There will be somewhat fewer small group sessions than in my traditional yearlongs, due to fewer students. More time will be given to discussing process. We’ll work through writing prompts, applying them to places where you’re stuck or have gone astray.
This class is dedicated to fostering accountability, and will feature regular deadlines where you are compelled to turn in pages. Everyone in your new writing community is depending on you! This class is focused on building a strong cohort for peer review, and pushing your work toward a publishable quality.
